An insulated glass unit consists of two or three panes joined by an aluminium spacer and sealed hermetically with polysulphide sealant. Desiccant inside the spacer keeps the cavity dry, so thermal and acoustic insulation is many times better than single glazing.
Standard configurations: 4-16-4 (single chamber) and 4-10-4-10-4 (double chamber); spacer widths 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20 mm. Any glass combination — clear, frosted, tinted, reflective or tempered panes.
Units with decorative muntins (Georgian bars) and non-standard shapes are made to order. Every order is calculated by software: pane sizes, spacer length, sealant and clip consumption are derived automatically and the cutting plan is optimised. Buyer’s guide: How to choose an insulated glass unit.
